Humpback Bridge cross stitch chartpack. Built in 1857, Virginia's oldest covered bridge, Humpback Bridge, is located near Covington, VA. The center of the floor and roof is about four feet higher than the ends, giving the bridge both its appearance and its name. It is the only bridge of its design in the United States.
